The Greatest Anti-Aging Medicine is a Four Letter Word

Columbus, Ohio    12-20-05

"Gerontologists paint a gloomy picture of aging as losing health, losing memory, losing friends and losing family. It’s pretty depressing stuff" says America’s Anti Aging Psychologist, Dr. Michael Brickey. "The best medicine for aging well is a four letter word--hope."

People need to know the good news about getting older--that older people are happier than younger people, that seniors are staying healthier and looking and feeling younger than ever, that a smaller percentage of seniors are in nursing homes, and that we are going to get a lot of help from medicine, genetic engineering, and tissue engineering in the future.

Where can people go to learn about positive aging, hope, and helpful resources?  Dr. Ageless is launching a national advice column, Ask Dr. Ageless, in www.MatureResources.org, a free monthly internet magazine and business directory.  Dr. Ageless addresses readers’ questions such as whether "geezer humor" is offensive, what to say when someone asks your age, and how to know if you are having a "senior moment."

"Mature Resources.org pulls together many feature stories and resources to help baby Boomers and seniors find the good news about anti aging and strategies for aging well" says Editor Sharon Sultan Cutler. Recently launched and growing rapidly www.MatureResources.org addresses lifestyle, health, wellness, retirement, financial planning, travel, and caregiver needs. It also provides consumer advocacy and networking.

The Ageless Lifestyles Institute provides research, speaking, publishing, and coaching services to blaze new trails for helping people live longer, healthier, and happier. Dr. Michael Brickey is the author of the Oprah-featured book, Defy Aging, and recently released, 52 baby steps to Grow Young.
